Favreau Explained How Brisket and Football Helped Bill Murray and Neel Sethi’s Performance in The Jungle Book

On Wednesday night Jon Favreau talked with Jimmy Fallon about his new movie, The Jungle Book. Everything thing in the movie is computer generated, except for the star, Neel Seethi. Favreau was explaining the process, and mentioned taking Seethi to Bill Murray’s house on Martha’s Vineyard. At Murray’s house, they had dinner, they played football together, performed together, and improved together, and the visuals for the movie were put together from that spontaneous interaction.
Incidentally, Favreau also smoked a brisket himself– he learned the technique while preparing for the movie Chef– and carried it on the plane to Martha’s Vineyard like it was a heart transplant.
