John Oliver Takes On The Color Pink and Pink Marketing

The Labor Party in the UK has painted a van pink to appeal to women voters. Needless to say women find this both embarrassing and offensive. In this week’s edition of Last Week Tonight, John Oliver agreed.
Nicknamed “The Barbie Bus” Oliver agrees that painting the van pink is a bit insulting. Should we really be trying to appeal to voters using the same tactics that Mattel uses to appeal to eight year olds? It gets worse.
Good thing that we don’t use any pink symbols in this country to symbolize adult women’s issues. That would be embarrassing.
