Joe “The Handsome Vault” Machi Won’t Say Anything About Last Comic Standing
Comedian Joe Machi appeared on the Ron and Fez Show today, and while we already knew that he’s going to be appearing in this Thursday’s season premier of Last Comic Standing (thanks to LCS promos), he isn’t saying a word about it.
His “my-lips-are-sealed” stance about his performance on show has earned him his new nickname, “The Handsome Vault.”
“It is going to be interesting, the preliminary round of 100 comics” he told Bennington. But that was as close to a story as you’re going to get out of Machi, because, as he said, “I don’t want to get sued.” So if Machi has been ignoring your emails, and shunning you on Facebook, now you know why.
Machi did confirm that you will see some real veterans, and “heavy hitters” in this year’s competition. He also talked about the reasons he submitted himself for the reality-slash-competition-slash-comedy contest.
One of the reasons I said yes to doing it, when my manager was like, should we do it? should we try? Where else can you tell jokes in prime time? 9:00 at night, on an national network, you just never get that kind of opportunity. And if you advance you could maybe do five or six tv spots where you could….even Louis CK does what, four or five a year?
Is it going to be the summer of Joe this year? Or will it be the boy who cried Summer of Joe? Stay tuned.
