Melissa Rivers hired the not-so-gentle law firm of Gair, Gair, Conason, Steigman, Maloof, Bloom and Rubinowitz to represent her in a wrongful death suit against the Upper East Side clinic, Yorkville Endoscopy.
The New York Daily News confirmed with the law firm that they are working with Melissa Rivers. Lawyer and partner Ben Rubinowitz said, “In order to fully determine all the facts and circumstances surrounding the death of Joan Rivers, we confirm that our firm has been engaged by Melissa Rivers and her family.”
According to reports, Joan Rivers went to Yorkville Endoscopy on August 28th for a procedure and underwent an unplanned biopsy. During the procedure, her air supply was cut off and she went into cardiac arrest resulting in a coma. She passed away a week later.
