Jimmy Fallon Honors David Letterman

Jimmy Fallon took some time out from his show last night to give some love to Dave Letterman on his retirement. Jimmy was the third person to host the program that Dave created and made famous– Late Night on NBC. Jimmy seemed to be fighting back emotion as he described his admiration for Letterman and even showed his 8th grade year book where it was predicted that ‘Jimmy would take over Late Night From David Letterman.’

Okay Conan O’brien was in between them but who ever wrote that year book must feel like a modern day Nostradamus.

Fallon also pointed out how important Letterman was to New York and the country after 9-11. Letterman retires on Wednesday Night, Jimmy Kimmel is running a rerun but the Tonight Show will go live with Dallas Cowboys super fan Gov. Chris Christie and Jeff Foxworthy.
