Jimmy Fallon and His Finger Explained in Detail
Jimmy Fallon is back! A few weeks ago we reported that Jimmy almost lost a finger, now he’s sharing the details.
Jimmy explains that he tripped and fell– on a braided rug in his kitchen– and caught his fall, or so he through. As he got up, he said he realized “my finger is sideways.” Fallon described the finger as looking fake, like a cheap horror movie, so he cabbed it over to the emergency room.
Ring avulsion is what they called it. He had to be transferred to another hospital, was in the ICU for 10 days, and underwent a six hour microsurgery to save the finger that involved taking a vein out of his foot.
Letterman will always be remembered for that time he was out because he had a heart attack. And Jimmy’s got ‘tripped on a braided rug in my kitchen.’ And the worst part is now they’ll be calling him ole foot finger.
