Jim-Carrey-SNL host

Saturday Night Live is adding another major comedy name to its line up of hosts for its 40th anniversary season. Jim Carrey is reportedly set to host SNL for his third time.

According to the Wrap, Carrey’s appearance on Saturday Night Live will coincide with the release of his new movie, “Dumb and Dumber To”, the sequel to his 1994 hit with Jeff Daniels. That movie is out in theaters on November 14th. The last time Carrey hosted SNL was in 2011.

Carrey is joining a line up of hosts that already includes Chris Pratt hosting the 40th season premiere next weekend on September 27th, followed by Sarah Silverman on October 4th and former SNL cast member Bill Hader on October 11th.
