Jerrod Carmichael Explains Why Donald Trump Makes Sense to Him…Sometimes
Jerrod Carmichael is on top of the world. He’s a national headliner with a killer stand up set, and he’s got a second season of a network sitcom that has the rare distinction of appealing to broad network audiences as well as critics and fans that typically shy away from network comedy, he’s doing great. Wednesday night he stopped by CBS’s Late Late Show to talk about The Carmichael Show with Stephen Colbert.
Conversation rolled around to politics, as it inevitably does, and Carmichael said there are a few things Trump says that he likes. First of all, he’s in a new tax bracket. And second, he’s pro wall. Not anti-Mexican, and not even necessarily pro wall-between-us-and-mexico. He’s just pro walls in general. But don’t assume he’s endorsing Trump. No…no…no. At least not yet.
Carmichael also had some controversial opinions on the connection between how much money you make, and how much trouble you should get into when you get caught cheating on you significant other.
