Jerrod Carmichael Takes on Real Issues on The Carmichael Show

Jerrod Carmichael, star of NBC’s The Carmichael Show told Seth Meyers on Monday night that he had to talk to a lot of lawyers when they did a season two episode about Cosby. They’ve also taken on subjects like gentrification and Islamaphobia in season two, and he says NBC been fine with that. “We’ve earned a certain amount of trust I think and they’ve been allowing us to do our thing,” he said. Carmichael said that even though his show looks like a traditional sitcom, it’s important to him to treat everyone like adults.
The Carmichael Show airs Sunday nights on NBC.
