Fowler had previously developed a pilot for ABC co-starring Whoopi Goldberg and Roy Wood Jr. that didn’t get picked up, but the new series is a multi-camera family comedy inspired by his Fowler’s own life. Fowler’s parents were only 16 and 17 when he was born, but they stayed together and raised him and his siblings. He will play a character based on his dad.

Jermaine’s Showtime special premieres Friday December 11th. The perfect chance to get on board with this rising star and he appeared on James Corden’s Late Late Show Tuesday night.
