Jena Friedman grabbed the attention of the comedy world with her debut album and Seeso special, American Cunt. Friday night she hit Conan’s stage hard with her take on the roles of men and women in 2018. She has a lot to say about this strange new post-Trump world from the perspective of a smart young has-her-shit-together woman. Now roughly half of you might think “okay this is not for me” and you’re probably right but listen anyway.
Halli Goldman captured Friedman’s style perfectly when she called her “nonchalantly smart” a trait that comes across strongly during her Conan set. Jenna has written for The Late Show with David Letterman and was a producer for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. And read more about Jenna Friedman right here on The Interrobang.
