Jay Mohr Calls Albert Einstein a Dummy!

Only days after national (and international) news outlets crucified Jay Mohr for a comment he made about Alyssa Milano in his podcast, Jay Mohr announced on the Ron and Fez Show, that Albert Einstein was a dummy, and Teddy Roosevelt was a coward.  Surprisingly nobody was outraged.  It’s probably because most intelligent people recognize that he was obviously making a joke when he said that.  So why didn’t the world get the joke when they found out he said that Alyssa Milano “had a gut” in a recent podcast?  Because the internet is not intelligent.  In fact, they’re not even trying.

In a phone call to SiriusXM’s “The Ron and Fez Show” actor, comic and sports talk radio host Jay Mohr explained how he became known as the world’s worst “Fat Shamer.”  Mohr had been asked a question on his podcast about how Alyssa Milano looked at a recent NASCAR event.

“…as a happily married man–  when guys say to me, regarding other women, hey man how’d she look?   What am I supposed to say?  My wife is upstairs.   “I wanted to crush it all night?”   I hate that question.  So when I was asked it on my podcast,    I said, oh man, she had a gut.   Like I made a joke, and then it became National News.”

Mohr assumed that the absurdity of what he said was apparent, but the internet didn’t get it.   “I don’t know how you fat shame someone that weighs 104 pounds.  And I thought that the absurdity of what I  was saying would be taken as a joke.  Like Albert Einstein’s a dummy, ” Mohr told Ron Bennington, host of the Ron and Fez Show.  “I need to really emphasize.  It was a joke and it was absurd.  You cannot fat shame someone….she’s the size of a thimble Ronnie, she’s so tiny.”

Not only did the internet not get it, news outlets didn’t get it either.  ABC News, Good Morning America, the International Business Journal, The New York Daily News, Perez Hilton and dozens of other media outlets showed outrage at Mohr’s comment.  And some of the outlets that criticized the comment routinely mock celebrities as part of their own news coverage.   “Perez Hilton had a big thing on it and this guy made a living drawing pictures of penises on people’s faces as they leave clubs and now he’s the moral authority of who’s right and who’s wrong, ” Mohr said.

So why did Jay Mohr spend more time in the barrel than someone like Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper who was caught on video using the n-word back in July?  Mohr says, it’s because I don’t get to catch a touchdown and everybody goes, ‘ah, he’s alright.”

So what’s the moral of this story?  Don’t tell jokes and be glad Albert Einstein doesn’t have a twitter account.
