Jason Sudeikis Talks About Season Two of Last Man on Earth

When season one of the new comedy hit Last Man on Earth ended, there was a huge twist/teaser for season two. The camera panned to a shot of Jason Sudeikis sitting in a space capsule. We know he’s going to be playing Will Forte’s character’s brother, but not much else.

And it’s pretty much all we still know, but on Late Night with Seth Meyers Monday night Jason talked a little bit about season two. He said he doesn’t know much about what’s coming, he’s only shot a couple of things. “I’m definitely coming back next season, I’m definitely in space because I had to wear a very uncomfortable harness,” he said.

He and Seth talked about working with Will Forte is with Sudeikis saying, it’s better not to know what’s coming and just trust him. Meyers, Forte and Sudeikis collaborated on Saturday Night Live.  And the guys laughed comparing notes about Forte’s writing OCDs, calling him the most OCD writer they know.  They joked about how Forte would second guess every period, and even question whether he should use the British or American spelling of the word color for one SNL script– particularly funny because the word was going to be spoken, not seen in print, and obsess over whether “I’m” or “I am” would be funnier.

Season two of Last Man on Earth premieres Sunday September 27th on FOX.
