Is ‘The Master’ Based on Scientology and L. Ron Hubbard

Well PT Anderson has been downplaying his film being based on L Ron Hubbard and the church of Scientology. The Daily Beast had an ex-Scientologist named Marc Headly take a look at the screenplay to see if the film seemed to be based on L.Ron Hubbard. Headly has written best selling book called “Blown For Good: Behind the Iron Curtain of Scientology” based on his time with the religion. In the first 10 pages Headly found 22 detailed similarities between the character of the Master and L.Ron Hubbard.
