Ian McKellen Turned Down $1.5 Million To Officiate Wedding As Gandalf

Napster founder and Aaron Sorkin character Sean Parker offered Ian McKellen $1.5 million and all he had to do was show up dressed as Gandalf and officiate Parker’s wedding, but McKellen turned it down saying “I am sorry, Gandalf doesn’t do weddings. I don’t go dressing up. Except in plays.” What Parker didn’t know is that Gandalf is a huge Metallica fan, so he would never be caught dead with him.
