According to Billboard magazine, Howard Stern has turned down requests for interviews with the press about Donald Trump, and said on his Monday morning SiriusXM show that he has no plans to air archival audio of Donald Trump’s appearances on his radio show.

“Every news agency and anybody with an interview show has contacted my agent. I’ve probably turned down about 500 interviews,” Stern said, “because they want me to talk about this. As I’ve always said, there’s nothing to talk to them about, I’ll talk to my audience directly.”

The SiriusXM host said to do re-air the clips from Trump’s appearances  would be a betrayal.  “I feel Donald Trump did the show in an effort to be entertaining and have fun with us and I feel like it would be a betrayal to any of our guests if I sat there and played them now where people are attacking him.”

Although he supports Clinton in the election, Stern considers Trump a friend, and emphatically stated that everything said on his show was for the purposes of entertainment.

Stern did however, talk casually about what is and isn’t “lockerroom” talk. “When I’m around guys 85 percent of the times you’re talking about pussy, but I have never been in the room when someone has said ‘grab them by the pussy”

Stern reminisced about his own run for Governor, a campaign which he called a goof.
