Hit Comedy Podcast 2 Dope Queens Will Air Four Hour Specials on HBO in February With Some Major Comedy Talent on Board

Continuing its streak of producing amazing comedy, and using the best talents in stand up, HBO is bringing hit podcast 2 Dope Queens to the channel with a series of four hour-long specials throughout Black History Month this year.

Some major guest stars and great comedians will be joining hosts Jessica Williams and Phoebe Robinson. Kevin Barnett, Rhea Butcher, Michelle Buteau, John Early, Naomi Ekperigin, Gary Gulman, Al Jackson, Jackie Kashian, Aparna Nancherla, Mark Normand, Baron Vaughn and Sheng Wang will all be featured on the show, as well as four heavy hitter celebrity guests- Uzo Aduba, Tituss Burgess, Sarah Jessica Parker and Jon Stewart. All four hours are directed by Tig Notaro.

Comedy podcast 2 Dope Queens, featuring Jessica Williams and Phoebe Robinson, has been a smash sensation all over the country, and both ladies have their own amazing achievements to back up their podcast fame; Williams you know from her run on The Daily Show, and Robinson from Broad City. She also wrote the critically acclaimed bestseller “You Can’t Touch My Hair: And Other Things I Still Have to Explain.” The podcast debuted on April 4, 2016 on WNYC and became the #1 podcast on iTunes as soon as it launched.

The show will debut on Friday February 2nd at 11:30pm ET/PT featuring a themed “New York” episode with Jon Stewart in the guest chair. February 9th, Sarah Jessica Parker’s episode will be “Hair” focused. The women will talk “Hot Peen” with Titus Burgess, and “Black Nerds aka Blerds” with Uzo Aduba.

The shows are all taped in front of a live audience at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre and you’ll hear the queens dishing on Cocoa Khaleesis, dating white baes, sex, New York living, which borough has the best pizza and so much more. Watch the teaser below.
