Here’s What Went Down at the American Comedy Awards

We know, most of you were watching the draft. And some of you weren’t going to watch another awards show anyway, but these guys deserve some respect and gift baskets so here’s what you may have missed on the American Comedy Awards on NBC. Craig Robinson provided some killer music all night, everyone looked fabulous, Jeffrey Gurian hit the red carpet and it was the first award show where almost every nominee should have won.
NBC put together an in memorium for some amazing comedic performers we lost this year. Included were Harold Ramis, Eileen Brennan, Conrad Bain, Lisa Robin Kelly, Jonathan Winters, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Dennis Farina, Bob Hoskins, David Brenner, Peter O’Toole, Bonnie Franklin, James Gandolfini, Jean Stapleton, John Pinette, Marcia Wallace, Corey Monteith, Jane Kean, Mickey Rooney and Sid Caesar.
Chris Rock presented Bill Cosby with the Johnny Carson Award for Comedic Excellence, and called him “the greatest comedian who ever lived.” Seth Rogen took home two awards. Key and Peele took home two awards, and Amy Poehler hit the stage twice to take home statues as well.
Oh,and “Louie C.K.: Oh My God” winning Best Comedy Special of the Year somehow snuck by us, because the award wasn’t presented on stage, but everything else is listed below.
Congratulations to everyone who won everything. You all deserved it.
