Henry Rollins Bashes Robin Williams for Suicide

Why couldn’t Robin Williams just have bench pressed his depression into submission?
In an interview with LA Weekly, Rollins wrote that he doesn’t understand how anyone who is a parent would leave their kids behind like that. While he says he does understand the depths of depression, and has witnessed it first hand, he won’t spend time mourning a suicide death. “When someone negates their existence, they cancel themselves out in my mind,” he said. “I no longer take this person seriously. I may be able to appreciate what he or she did artistically but it’s impossible to feel bad for them. Their life wasn’t cut short — it was purposely abandoned. It’s hard to feel bad when the person did what they wanted to.”
