Hannah Gadsby’s follow up to her smash hit “Nanette” is coming to New York City. Westbeth Entertainment is working with Gadsby to bring her new one-woman show, “Douglas” to the stage off broadway in NYC.
Douglas debuted in Melbourne Australia just weeks ago, and will travel across the US before winding up the tour at the Daryl Roth Theater in New York City with a four week run in July and August.
In the new show Gadsby follows up on Nanette, and discusses reactions to the show before she dives into material about a diagnoses she received prior to her explosive fame that followed her Nanette show. The Aussie comedian was diagnosed with Autism, and she’s ready to discuss it amidst what has been described as a powerful hour about language and how the use of particular words can have enormous impact.
Douglas, in case you’re wondering is a dog.
Gadsby’s already announced US tour begins on April 29th in San Francisco. Her New York dates our now on sale for July 23 through August 17th. Go go her website for info and tickets.
