Graffiti Artists Win $6.7 Million Over Five Pointz Being Torn Down

The graffiti artists who were behind the art at Five Pointz in Long Island City, New York, have won a judgement against the man who whitewashed their work and tore down the site to build condos. The judge awarded them $6.7 million after a jury said the developer behind the destruction of the murals broke the law, he violated the Visual Artists Rights Act. That money is going to buy a lot of spray paint.
