This Wednesday, it’s 80s Night on ABC. “The Goldbergs” starring Jeff Garlin comes back for its second season premiere.

In the new season’s first episode, Adam, the Goldbergs’ youngest who documents his family’s life in the late 1980s with his camcorder, is taking his relationship with Dana to the next level. That means making her a mixtape. Unfortunately for Adam, his mother Beverly Goldberg intercepts the cassette and thinks her son made it for her. Adam is caught between the two more important women in his life, his mom and the girl he likes so much.

The Season 2 premiere also doesn’t see things getting any easier for the Goldbergs’ oldest son Barry. He gets a fake ID from guest star David Spade who plays a shifty character who supplies the counterfeits to high school students. Barry finds himself in one more awkward situation after showing off his fake ID to the entire school.

The Goldbergs was created by writer, producer and showrunner Adam F. Goldberg who loosely based the show on his own life growing up in the 80s. The show stars Jeff Garlin, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Sean Giambrone, Troy Gentile, Hayley Orrantia, George Segal and Patton Oswalt as the voice of adult Adam Goldberg.

The Goldbergs premieres Wednesday, September 24th at 8:30 pm et.
