Germain Lussier Leaves Slashfilm
Many listeners to SiriusXM’s Ron and Fez Show have enjoyed Germain’s Lussier (GBABY) calls and studio visits. Germain is a film enthusiast, reporter and reviewer and enjoys summer blockbuster fare as well as Oscar adult themed movies. Five years ago Germain added his voice to the Slashfilm.com and for the past five years has brought his brand of movie news to the slashfilm audience, covering comedy and so much more.
Friday he announced that he’s leaving Slashfilm to be the entertainment reporter at IO9.com. He’s sad to leave, but excited to move forward.
“The amount of amazing things I’ve done and people I’ve met because of this website is impossible to quantify,” he said. “My dream as a kid was always to see my name on TV during a movie commercial. That happened multiple times while working here. I can die a happy man.”
He added, “starting Monday, I’ve accepted a position to become the entertainment reporter at IO9.com. It’s not a decision I made lightly, but I know it’s the right one and I’m very excited. I hope you all follow me there, or at least occasionally click on a link through my Twitter, @GermainLussier. I know I’ll be joining every one of you, reading /Film on an hourly basis, stunned at the amazing work Peter, Russ, Angie, Ethan and everyone else does.”
