Tuesday night while Scott Baio was talking to his fellow Republicans, George Wallace decided he’s had enough of Scott Baio, and started a Twitter scuffle.  Before it ended, the fight claimed Patton Oswalt as collateral damage, blocked by Baio for his Wallace retweets and comments.

It started when Wallace commented to Baio, “you know that house from Charles in Charge” was built by slaves right? And those weren’t happy days?” Baio didn’t have much of a comeback with “so funny I forgot to laugh” and brought Wallace right down to his level who countered with some other old classics like “take a picture it will last longer” and “I know you are but what am I.”

When Baio made an age joke, asking Wallace if he was 107, the comedian took the opportunity to point out that he was old enough to remember when black people couldn’t vote and he was old enough to remember when MLK was assassinated. Baio mentioned that it was Republicans who freed the slaves, leading Wallace to counter to ‘Chachi’ that the “Party of Lincoln” is long gone.

From there it was just a flurry of Wallace lines joking about the Republican’s inability to get decent celebrity endorsements, comparing Trump to Andy Kaufman, and promising a Netflix reboot to Baio when it was all over.

Meanwhile on the sidelines, Patton Oswalt was eating figurative internet popcorn and enjoying the pounding with some words of mercy.  “Oh wow. @MrGeorgeWallace is giving @ScottBaio a Riker’s blanket party right now. Oh Chachi, what’ve you done? Let him up, George…”  Patton called Wallace “feared and adored in equal measure” saying that “There isn’t a comedian alive who’d go against @MrGeorgeWallace.”

In the end, it was Oswalt with the dirt on his back–  blocked by Chachi and not even the Fonz able to help him.
