Harlan Crow Paid Private School Tuition for Clarence Thomas Family Member?

Okay when this was a free vacation at the billionaire’s home, maybe Clarence could slide this one past us. Then Thomas said he didn’t know it was wrong to let an influential billionaire buy his moms house, but continue to let the mother live there. Now it’s looking like Crow even paid tuition for Clarence Thomas’ kid to go to a fancy private school. The bill was over $6,000 month.

We’re all doubting Thomas.

WGA Strikers Shut Down Billions Filming in NYC

Strikers shut down the Billions set for hours this week as the show attempted to keep filming despite the strike. Picketers blocked the entryway and prevented a tow truck bringing a prop jeep from gaining acess to the set. Cast and crew members also refused to cross the line.

Wait so you’re saying they’ve had writers? On the set?

Messi Considering $400m Saudi Deal

After leaving his beloved Barca team, world Champion Lionel Messi went to play for France and briefly flirted with the idea of coming to Miami. A source says the Saudis are willing to offer him $400 million to play with their league in the summer of 2024 which doubles the blockbuster deal Ronaldo signed to play their summer 2025. His Paris team fined him for traveling to SA without authorization, and that move prompted him to change his mind about renewing his deal with them.

Ed Sheeran Wins Copyright Lawsuit

A jury has determined that Ed Sheeran did not steal any copyrightable elements of Marvin Gaye’s “Lets Get it On” when he wrote his “Thinking Out Loud” hit. “I am obviously very happy with the outcome of this case, and it looks like I’m not going to have to retire from my day job, after all. But at the same time, I am unbelievably frustrated that baseless claims like this are allowed to go to court at all,” the singer said.

Just another blow to Gaye rights.

SNL Shuts Down Season, Cancels Davidson, Coolidge and Culkin

The Writers Strike has forced Saturday Night Live to end their season prematurely. Only three live episodes remained in the 48th season. We already knew Pete Davidson was going to host this upcoming Saturday’s episode, but the last two hosts had not yet been announced. Now we know Kieren Culkin and Jennifer Coolidge were set to close out the season but those episodes have already been cancelled.

At least some good has come out of the writers strike.

Drew Barrymore Drops Out of Hosting MTV Awards

Barrymore says she is standing in solidarity with the WGA strike. “I have listened to the writers, and in order to truly respect them, I will pivot from hosting the MTV Movie & TV Awards live in solidarity with the strike. Everything we celebrate and honor about movies and television is born out of their creation. And until a solution is reached, I am choosing to wait but I’ll be watching from home and hope you will join me. ”

The shows going to take place without a host which unfortunately may be an improvement.
