Facebook Standing By Swastika Filter

Instagram’s Old School filter loads up users with body tattoos, and one user noticed that the sleeve included a swastika tat.

A spokesperson for Facebook, which owns Instagram, said that the filter “does not violate our policies.” Although the policies do ban images of hate, they said that they recognize that the swastika imagery “can be used in cultural context that predates Nazism” . They do not plan to remove the filter or demand that it be altered.

The woman who discovered the item said, “This s – – t has to end, not just for Jews but for everyone,” she wrote to her followers. “Hitler and then nazis is not a joke or passive topic so let’s stop pretending it’s okay.”

Amusement Parks Having Trouble Hiring

Like restaurants and other hospitality industries, Amusement Parks are finding themselves short staffed. The shortage has many causes, including a loss of foreign workers and students entering the US, increased responsibilities, and many workers realizing the work is just too much work for too little pay, under undesirable conditions.

It’s sad that kids aren’t looking to start their careers in the amusement park industry these days. But I think we can handle locking our own rollercoaster bar from now on.
