We don’t know much about what to expect for tonight’s Letterman finale, but  here’s a little glimpse.  Consequence of Sound is reporting that David Letterman has nabbed the Foo Fighters, one of his all-time favorite bands, to perform on his final show tonight.

The Foo Fighters made their TV debut on The Late Show in 1995, singing “This Is A Call.” In 2000, Letterman underwent quintuple bypass surgery. In his first show back, he requested the Foo Fighters return, which they did, performing a memorable rendition of “Everlong.”

In 2014, The Foo Fighters made headlines for having a week-long residency on The Late Show, which concluded with their song, “Miracle.” Letterman introduced the song — something he seldom does — by revealing a story of taking his four-year-old son Harry skiing. The ski instructor caught the moment on video and provided this song as the soundtrack. “It’s the second song of theirs that will always have great, great meaning to me for the rest of my life,” Letterman said.

Watch The Foo Fighters and America say farewell to Dave tonight.
