First Look At HBO Sports Doc “Andre the Giant”

If you enjoyed ESPN’s 30 for 30 “Nature Boy” featuring Ric Flair, then HBO has something they think will be even bigger, literally. The premium channel released a trailer for its upcoming documentary on pro wrestling’s 8th Wonder of the World, “Andre the Giant“. It features dozens of pro wrestling figures like Mean Gene Okerlund, Hulk Hogan, Jerry “The King” Lawler and Vince McMahon as well as other celebs like Cary Elwes and the man who claims to be everyone’s best friend Billy Crystal, all talking about the most unique attraction in pro wrestling history.

There’s not many people who could gain worldwide fame by sitting on top of other men in a wrestling ring, but Andre made it work. The doc produced by HBO, WWE and Bill Simmons will look at Andre’s superstardom, his massive consumption of alcohol and if were lucky, his crippling fear of snakes.

“Andre the Giant” premieres Tuesday, April 10th on HBO.
