The First Cut: SNL Drops One of It’s Freshman Castmembers
Every year Saturday Night Live fans await the news of casting changes. Which young cast members won’t be returning for a second season, which veteran or veterans are moving on, etc.
This week comes confirmation of the first exiting castmember- and its not really a surprise to anyone. Newcomer Luke Null won’t be returning. Null barely got any stage or screen time in season 43 while fellow first-year featured player Chris Redd made frequent appearances every week. Null joined with Redd and Heidi Gardner who was neither invisible nor omnipresent like Null and Redd.
Null returned to his hometown of Chicago after learning he won’t be returning to SNL in the fall. Prior to moving to New York City null performed frequently at the iO Theater with his improv group, Newport Hounds.
Hopped in an Uber in Chicago and the dude was jamming to Alien Ant Farm.
