Birdman Leads The Film Independent Spirit Award Nominations

The dark comedy "Birdman" leads the Film Independent Spirit Awards with 6 nominations. The nominations include best feature, best director and best male lead for Michael Keaton, best supporting actor for Edward Norton and best supporting actress for Emma Stone. "Birdman" stars Keaton as Riggan Thomson is a has-been former star of a super hero franchise who tries to jump start and legitimize his career by writing, directing and starring in a Broadway play.
