When he’s not being political, or in movies, or on television, Eddie Izzard is on tour performing stand up. If you’ve never seen him live, and you love comedy- particularly smart and dynamic comedy- seeing Izzard on stage should be a top priority. The good news is, Eddie Izzard plans to hit every single state in the US with his Force Majure tour and today announced dates for the “Southern Swing” portion of his tour. He’ll be visiting 12 cities in a month including Miami, New Orleans, Orlando, Charleston and Athens starting in late November.

Last spring Izzard visited 25 cities in the western US, and in 2014 he hit up 32 US cities. By the time he’s done he will have visited 25 countries and all 50 US states. In France, he performed the show entirely in French, in Berlin, he performed the show entirely in German and Izzard has plans to learn and perform the show in Spanish, Russian and Arabic.

Izzard has received a slew of awards, achievements and lauds for his work, and has set plenty of records. He was the first solo stand-up comedian to perform at the Hollywood Bowl; has sold-out three consecutive nights at Radio City Music Hall, sold out Madison Square Garden, and toured arenas throughout the U.S.

In addition to his outstanding stand up career, Izzard recently starred as one of the most unforgettable villains ever portrayed on television as Dr. Abel Gideon on NBC’s Hannibal and he has a long list of other television, film and stage credits including Valkyrie opposite Tom Cruise, Steven Soderbergh’s Ocean’s Thirteen and Ocean’s Twelve opposite George Clooney and Brad Pitt, David Mamet’s Race and The Cryptogram, to name a few.

Tickets go on sale Thursday, October 29 in Athens, GA and on Friday, October 30 in the rest of the tour cities. Go to eddieizzard.com for ticket dates and links to purchase tickets.
