Eddie Izzard Suggests Coming Out Sooner Rather Than Later

Eddie Izzard was recently asked about Bruce Jenner’s big announcement that’s he’s transitioning to a woman. He told the Las Vegas Review-Journal, that Bruce might have had an easier time if he had done this earlier in his life. He said, “If I had to come out with that amount of press scrutiny, it would have been really trippy.”
Izzard who came out as a transvestite 30 years ago, had the same advice for everyone. He said, “For young people, come out when you’re in your teenage years or your early 20s. Come out young. Don’t (wait to) come out in your later stages. Get it out of the way early on. It’s easier to grow, once the decades go by.”
As for his own life, he said, “No one seems to be terribly bothered by it, which is great”.
Recently Eddie Izzard has been on the campaign trail, visiting towns in England for the upcoming elections and in support of Labour Party candidates. In May, he’s back on the road with his Force Majeure World Tour with stops in Europe including Stockholm, Berlin and Moscow. Then he hits the Western U.S. with upcoming appearances in Denver, Albuquerque, Tuscon, Phoenix, San Diego, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
