Could Donald Glover Be the Next Willy Wonka?

Warner Brothers has hired Paul King to direct its new Willy Wonka movie that is rumored to be a prequel and explain the origin story of the candy man. The alleged shortlist to play Wonka contains Ryan Gosling, Ezra Miller and it guy Donald Glover. The screenplay is being written by Simon Rich who created the dazzling and highly original comedy series Man Seeking Woman.
The role was of course originated and forever owned by Gene Wilder, and the follow up darker version of the film cast Johnny Depp in the starring role.
If they go musical and Glover brings his musical talents to the film this could be the wildest remake since The Wiz. Simon Rich and Donald Glover? Finally, a kids movie we want to see!
