The TI-83 calculator from Texas Instruments is a $100 graphing calculator most high school students are forced to use and never really fully learn how to handle. In the 30 years it’s been around, the price has changed from $90 – $105, no other company has released a cheaper version and Texas Instruments basically holds a monopoly on this industry. This is the kind of monopoly that the marble composition notebook company should have had.
