Disney Wants Tom Cruise For Musical Comedy

Tom Cruise may not have to do stunts like hanging off the side of plane while it takes off for his next movie. Disney is in talks to hopefully get the action movie star for their singing and dancing comedy, “Bob The Musical”. According to The Wrap, the studio is in hot pursuit to get Cruise to star in the movie described as “a regular guy who can suddenly hear the inner songs of everyone’s heart after suffering a blow to the head. His reality instantly becomes a musical, much to his dismay.”
“Bob The Musical” has been in development for over 10 years at Disney. Tom Cruise isn’t officially on board and the film doesn’t have a director yet either. One of the director’s mentioned is “Hairspray’s” Adam Shankman, who directed Tom Cruise in his last musical comedy film 2012’s “Rock of Ages.”
Next up for actor / stuntman Tom Cruise is the release of the latest installment of the “Mission Impossible” franchise, “Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation” on Friday, July 31st.
