Dana Carvey Channels Trump, Bernie, Bill, and a Few Classic Impressions
Dana Carvey is back on the late night circuit and took some time to hang out with Conan Tuesday night. He went deep into his Trump and Bernie impressions, explaining his process for developing new impressions. Trump, he says is like a Batman villain. With Bernie, he noticed that Sanders talks in three or four word increments with big pauses in between. He didn’t have much of a Hillary impression, but he does have an impression of Bill in her earpiece always coaching.
Later, Carvey broke out some classic impressions — Jimmy Stewart getting oral, Katharine Hepburn starting her car (one he now calls awful), and a newer one — John Lennon and Paul McCartney talking about Kanye and Kim.
