Dan Snyder Wants To Replace His 17-Year-Old Stadium

snyderFedEx Field opened in September 1997. That means if it were a person, not only could it not buy a drink or rent a car, it couldn’t even smoke or shoot porn. But Dan Snyder thinks that’s too old, and wants a new stadium. Of course, one could say Snyder hasn’t taken care of the one he has. Once boasting crowds of around 90,000, the stadium has removed 14,000 seats (note the ugly empty beams in each end zone) due to low demand. There’s a plywood shack on the sidelines (as Jay Mohr once noted), and the field’s always in such piss-poor shape that it may have injured their star quarterback.

But Dan still thinks he deserves a new stadium. In fact, he told CSN Washington he wants to go retro:

“We’ve already seen some preliminary drawings and I’m going to be very retro with it. It’s gonna feel like RFK. It’s gonna move like RFK. I love that, I actually asked architectural firms to do it and they said that they can do it.”

Last we checked, RFK still stands. How ’bout you just move back?
