Craig Ferguson May Already Have Another Talk Show

Craig Ferguson is leaving his talk show to go and do a talk show.
Variety reports that Ferguson is in final negotiations with Tribune Media for a brand new half-hour talk show which would air on the Tribune stations across the country at 7 pm. The show is being planned for Fall of 2015 and Ferguson’s Late Late Show producer Michael Naidus is coming along as showrunner.
The brand new Craig Ferguson show will be a combination of guests and comedy pieces. This would be the first syndicated show of its kind developed for the access time period. The access time period is the hour leading into prime time. So Ferguson’s competition would be shows like “Wheel of Fortune”, “Jeopardy!” and the Hollywood gossip and news shows like “Entertainment Tonight”.
Ferguson is also already working with Tribune. He’s the host of the new game show “Celebrity Name Game” which will air on its stations next month. At the end of the year, Craig Ferguson is stepping down from the Late Late Show on CBS where he’s hosted for 10 years.
