Conan O’Brien Performs The Simpsons “Monorail Song”

Conan O’Brien was one of the special guests at “The Simpsons Take The Bowl”. It was a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the series at the Hollywood Bowl. The evening was filled with clips of the animated show with a live orchestra and performances. Along with Simpsons regulars, Hank Azaria, Nancy Cartwright and Yeardley Smith, other guests included Beverly D’Angelo, Jon Lovitz, “Weird Al” Yankovic and Simpsons creator Matt Groening.
Conan took the stage dressed as Lyle Lanley from The Simpsons episode he wrote called “Marge vs. the Monorail”. He talked about his days as a Simpsons writer and how he still can’t escape Simpsons fans calling him “Monorail Man”.
Conan also paid tribute to the man who did the voice of Lyle Lanley originally on the series, Phil Hartman and dedicated the Monorail Song to him.
The entire evening with a fireworks finale over the bowl.
