When a film is from the director of “Taken”, you can assume a woman will be held as a hostage at gunpoint. The truth is, the movie looks well made, action is impressive and it is populated with a highly respected cast. But it is a bit of a bummer to see greatest actor of his generation, Sean Penn signing onto one of the many middle age assassin films we see every few months. So the question is, will Gunman be cut above this latest trend?
