Comedy Central Brings “This is Not Happening” From Web to TV
Comedy Central’s CC: Studios has been producing Ari Shaffir’s digital series “This is Not Happening” for two seasons, and now they’re bringing it to The Channel. Jeff Tomsic, who will direct, said the eight-episode season will premiere in the fall.
Kent Alterman, President, Content Development and Original Programming for Comedy Central said “it’s really funny storytelling with fantastic talent.”
Ari Shaffir added, “Fuck Yeah.”
“This Is Not Happening” is hosted by Shaffir and features him and his comedian friends (like Kurt Braunohler, Joey Diaz, David Koechner, Bobby Lee, Natasha Leggero, TJ Miller, Trevor Moore, Kumail Nanjiani, Jay Oakerson, Steve Rannazzisi and Joe Rogan) telling hilarious and true stories in front of a live audience.
