Comedian Joe Conte’s Goodbye to His Friend, Otto Petersen
Otto Petersen passed away suddenly on April 13th. We were honored to have had him write for us, and we’re honored to have his friend Joe Conte share this goodbye to his friend with us, which he posted on his facebook page after attending a memorial service remembering Otto.

Yesterday we honored & said goodbye to an amazing friend, son, brother, uncle, husband, mentor & true comedy legend. You will be missed pal, more than you could have EVER imagined by more people you could even fathom. I’m proud, happy and a better man having you as a friend for over 10 years. Your influence on me and THOUSANDS of others is beyond measure. You elevated the “bar” of comedy and always had the respect and awe of comics for close to 40 years. The saddest thing besides your departure is the mere possibility you only thought of yourself as just a regular guy, trust me and EVERYONE who ever met you, you weren’t. There was NO one on the planet like you, not even close, there couldn’t be another one like you, you were the definition of a true one of a kind, an original. We need to watch “As Good as it Gets” one more time. I love you pal, I miss you.
