The Comedian Who Changed My Life is a new series where comics talk about, you guessed it, the comedian who changed their life. This week, Reggie Watts talks about George Carlin.

Hi my name is Reggie Watts and the comedian that changed my life most I would say, probably have to be George Carlin. George Carlin is amazing because he was a true philosopher through his humor and pointed out the absurdities and the insanities that humans tend to put on each other. And he was just hilarious. I just loved his mind. He was a really really amazing cat, always wanted to hang out with him. I’m sorry that he had to go.

reggiewattsComedian and musician Reggie Watts took the country by storm when he opened for Conan O’Brien’s North America Tour, but he’s been performing for decades. His performances are highly improvisational blends of rap, jazz, spoken word, comedy, philosophy and creativity. His musical performances are completely improvised using his voice and a loop machine. He also co-hosts Comedy Bang! Bang! a podcast that now airs on the IFC Channel. Called comedic genius and spectacularly original, Watts is a headliner of his own right now and regularly sells out shows across the country.
