Check Our Feed: Comedians React to the Golden Globes. See What They Thought of Seth, Oprah, Kirk and More.

We love our Twitter feed. We follow 2100 comedians on Twitter, plus have a few lists to keep track of the best of the best, so you can’t beat our feed when it comes to reading the funniest reactions to major events. Last night, the stars came out for the Golden Globes and there was plenty for comedians to talk about.

The focus of the night was the women’s rights revolution just beginning in Hollywood, women wearing black, and #timesup, and along with that went the big questions of “How Will hold up as a white male host?” and “Which woman will make the most powerful speech?” and “who won’t wear black?” The big news of the night of course, was Oprah, who overshadowed all and filled our feed with a rallying cry of Oprah 2020. Comedians aaaalmost universally loved Oprah last night. To see who wasn’t impressed scroll down.

The other universal theme in our feed last night was that everyone who was tweeting thought Seth Meyers killed it with his monologue, particularly for his “first dog in space” joke. “There’s a new era underway,” he said, “and I can tell because it’s been years since a white man was this nervous in Hollywood. By the way, a special hello to hosts of other upcoming awards shows who are watching me tonight like the first dog they shot into outer space.” There may have been a few groans in the room for some of Seth’s lines, but our Twitter feed was 100% groan free.
