“Charlie Hebdo” Attack Suspects Reportedly Surrounded
The Kouachi brothers who are the main suspects in the attack on the French satirical magazine “Charlie Hebdo” on Wednesday are reportedly surrounded by police in a town northeast of Paris. According to CNN, the alleged terrorists have been in contact with French officials and said they want to die as martyrs.
There are also reports that the two men have a hostage with them. The area where the stand off is happening is just miles from Charles de Gaulle airport. The government has cancelled flights in and out of the airport.
On Wednesday, the Kouachis are accused of entering the Charlie Hebdo offices and killing 12 people including the editor and several staff cartoonists in a revenge plot for the magazine’s illustrations that they felt mocked their religion.
