Censorship Watch: Patton Oswalt Weighs In on Tosh Detractors
Patton Oswalt defended not so much Daniel Tosh but Daniel Tosh’s right to speak. “Obviously, I don’t agree with what he said, and I don’t agree with the way he said it, but there’s something really, really dangerous about [reacting to] something you don’t like by shouting it down so it’s not heard.” He went on to say that P.C. critics on the left can be as bad as the assholes on the right. “It’s no different than what radical Christians, anti-gay assholes and pro-life people do,” he said. “They try to yell things out of existence.”
