Caught Falsifying Bob Dylan Quotes!? Uh Oh.

Author Jonah Lehrer, who recently wrote the best selling book “Imagine” resigned as a blogger for The New Yorker today.  Seems he made up a bunch of quotes that he attributed to Bob Dylan for his book which explored the origins of creativity.  He released a statement about the quotes.

“The quotes in question either did not exist, were unintentional misquotations, or represented improper combinations of previously existing quotes. But I told Mr. Moynihan that they were from archival interview footage provided to me by Dylan’s representatives. This was a lie spoken in a moment of panic. When Mr. Moynihan followed up, I continued to lie, and say things I should not have said.”

The publisher is stopping further shipments on the book and stopping e-sales immediately.
