Catholic League Wants Jon Stewart On His Knees

Delta Airlines has pulled their ads from The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Obviously you’re thinking, what could Jon Stewart have done to piss off an entire airline? He used the phrase  “Vagina Manger” and a controversial photo in a Daily Show segment that aired last month. The Delta folks weren’t the only ones upset. The Catholic League called the segment “the most vulgar expression of hate speech ever aired on television” and demanded an apology.

It gets worse. It looks like the Catholic League is trying to bully others into abandoning The Daily Show but at least one advertiser, Kellogg, has made statements that they aren’t budging.

Bill Donohue, President of the Catholic League is not amused with Kellogg’s refusal to join his bully gang. “In other words, Kellogg’s is telling Christians to shove it,” Donohue said in a statement. “But they made a mistake… We are also calling for a national boycott of all Kellogg’s cereals.”

Huge props and a big giant gold star to Jon Stewart who refused to apologize. Bigger props to Kellogg for not caving.  Who’s craving some Frosted Flakes!?
