Executive producer Brian Glazer has said that “Arrested Development” is getting 17 new episodes. The cult favorite comedy series premiered on FOX in 2003.  It was cancelled after 3 seasons and then seven years later moved to Netflix for season 4. It’s been two years since the show debuted on the streaming service.

Brian Glazer who executive produces the show along with Ron Howard and “Arrested Development” creator Mitch Hurwitz, made the announcement on Bill Simmons’ B.S. Report on Grantland.com. For now, 17 new episodes featuring the highly dysfunctional Bluth family is all anyone knows. Despite Brian Glazer’s eager-to-talk look on his face, Bill Simmons didn’t follow up his announcement with any questions about the new season. IndieWire reports that Netflix said the company is “not commenting at this time.”

So everyone will have to wait and see if the entire cast is coming back including Jason Batemen, Will Arnett, David Cross, Michael Cera, Portia de Rossi, Tony Hale, Alia Shawkat, Jessica Walter and Jeffrey Tambor. Plus, there’s the questions of when production starts and when the new 17 episodes are expected to premiere.

Go to the 24:25 mark to see Brian Glazer make his “Arrested Development” announcement.
