Bono Feeling Better, U2 Reschedules Tonight Show Appearance

Six months ago, U2 was scheduled to do a residency on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, but then something happened. Bono fell off his bike. He suffered multiple injuries including a broken bone in his face, three separate fractures of his left shoulder blade, a broken left pinky and a fracture of his left humerus bone in his upper arm. Bono had three metal plates and 18 screws put in his arm, plus months of therapy.

According to Rolling Stone, after the surgeries and therapy, Bono and the band are ready to go on tour and make good on rescheduling their Tonight Show appearance. NBC tweeted that U2 will appear this coming Friday, May 8th with host Jimmy Fallon. So far, U2 is the only scheduled guest listed for the evening.

The Tonight Show will be a dress rehearsal before U2 kicks off its “Innocence + Experience Tour” in Vancouver on Thursday, May 14th. The tour is to promote their latest album, “Songs of Innocence” which the band regretfully had directly downloaded into the library of 500 million iTunes subscribers without their permission.

The Tonight Show is reportedly sending a car for the band, so that Bono doesn’t feel the need to pedal his way there.
